In Memory

Richard Rosche

Richard Rosche

We were all saddened to hear of Dick's death.  He had volunteered to be on the reunion committee and was so enthusiastic (just as he was in high school).  We will miss him greatly!!

It seems like only yesterday we met again.  And you didn't forget that tile you always called me by.  We shall miss you and your gentle laid-back manner.  Enjoy your eternity, Dick!

A beautiful tribute was given in Dick's memory at the Buffalo History Museum today, November 5th, 2013.  At times it was humorous which was expected because he was like that.  He was a truly outstanding man who touched the lives of the several hundred that were there and thousands more during his life. RIP Dick.  Yes, you are missed.

ROSCHE - Richard J. October 18, 2013, loving husband of Susan (Weber); beloved son of Dorothy Rosche and the late Raymond Rosche, brother of Barbara (Albert) Hapeman, Paul (Jeanette), David (Karen), Peter (Jill) Rosche; survived by many nieces and nephews. Dick graduated from St. Mary's High School, Canisius College and UB Law School. He was an avid reader of history, Civil War reenactor, bicycling enthusiast, motorcyclist, skier and skeet shooter. He served as President of the Foxridge Owners' Association, Ellicottville and Vice-President of the Buffalo Civil War Roundtable. It was his family and friends, however, that he cherished the most. The family thankfully acknowledges the love and support Dick received during his brief illness. A Celebration of Dick's Life will be held Tuesday, November 5, 1 PM at the Buffalo History Museum. Memorials in Dick's name may be made to St. Mary's High School, Lancaster, NY or the Buffalo Civil War Roundtable Scholarship, P.O. Box 174, Cheektowaga, NY 14225.
